Since I was no longer working in the kitchen, I headed straight into the pack house and began wiping all the surfaces.
By the time the people who call themselves early rises woke up to go for training before breakfast, I had already cleaned the living room and was already moving to clean the corridors and wipe the decorative pieces placed there.
Once the first person left their room, I immediately went in to clean.
It was as if everyone was determined to make life difficult for me.
In some rooms, I found such a mess that it would take me a whole hour just to clean.
Clothes were thrown all over the room. Both dirty and clean clothes had been mixed. I had to sort them out and hang the clean ones and put the dirty ones in a basket.
What made me disgusted was how some people left their underwear for me to pick.
I took a deep breath and went on cleaning as if nothing had happened.
When I got to Mike’s room, I found him and Innocent just waking up.
I had waited for the others to leave their rooms before cleaning, but Mike and Innocent seemed to have no intention of leaving.
I stood outside the door like a door guard for half an hour before I finally decided to knock on the door.
I knew that they could smell me outside the door. They both had strong awakened wolves so there was no way they didn’t know I was there.
But they chose to torture me silently by staying in bed and engaging in sexual activities while I waited.
When I knocked, it was as if that was what Mike had been waiting for.
“Come in.” He said in a deep voice.
I pushed the door inward and carried my bucket of water, mop, and other cleaning products into the room.
I kept my head lowered so that I wouldn’t accidentally see something that would make me sick.
But I had underestimated Mike’s cruelty.
“Clean all this waste before you start mopping.” He ordered.
“Yes, alpha Mike.” I replied in a flat tone.
I walked over to their bedside and as if to torment me, Innocent kicked the blanket to the ground leaving their bodies intertwined and bare for my view.

It was a taunting attempt, probably from the little attention Mike had shown me the previous day.
Luckily, Lizzie had done something to me the night before so no matter what Mike did, I didn’t feel pain anymore.
Otherwise, watching my mate having sex with someone else in front of me would have made me completely collapse.
“Yes.” I didn’t say anything and just walked over, and bent over to pick up the blanket before putting it back on the bed.
I didn’t bother to cover them and as if to taunt me into a reaction, Mike started praising Innocent for her beauty and good figure as he thrusted into her like there was no tomorrow.
I had never felt so nauseous before. At that moment, I had to do everything in my power to hold myself back from throwing up the two tomatoes I had eaten the previous night.
“Innocent, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Your figure makes me unable to hold myself back. I hope you can hold on.” Mike whispered to Innocent softly, yet domineeringly.
“Aah Mike, you are the best. I would do anything for you.” Innocent was also moaning and twisting her waist to receive Mike’s thrusts as if they were the only ones there.
I pretended not to see or hear anything and went on cleaning.
Even after I was done, the two were still going at it like rabbits on heat.
I didn’t care about their actions and walked out of the room without looking back.
If Mike thought that doing something so derogatory would elicit a reaction from me just because of the mate bond then he couldn’t be more wrong.
Watching him do something that even prostitutes in a brothel wouldn’t do made my resolve to break the mate bond even more resolute.
I didn’t want a mate who thought the whole world revolved around him and cared so little about what the moon goddess had made sacred.
“Valerie.” Mike called out to me just as I crossed the threshold.
“Yes, alpha Mike.” I answered without looking back.
I didn’t have the desire to see something that would dirty my eyes. But obviously, Mike had different ideas.
“Look at me when you are talking to me.” He ordered authoritatively.
I really had to thank whichever gods made me immune to alpha coercion, otherwise, I would be on my knees by now doing exactly as Mike asked.
I took a deep breath and slowly placed my cleaning tools on the ground before I turned around and looked straight at the two bodies still intertwined.
To make it more convenient to talk to me, Mike was now sitting on the bed, with Innocent sitting on his midsection with Mike’s junk in her vagina.
Innocent seemed to think that showing off engaging in intercourse with Mike was something to be proud of.
She was moving up and down and moaning repeatedly even as Mike talked to me.
It seemed that she was trying hard to redirect his attention back to her.
Mike had his hands holding on Innocent’s hips and helping her with the up and down movement while his eyes bore holes into me.
I realized at that moment that Mike was trying to arouse the mate bond between us and get a reaction from me.
I couldn’t understand what his obsession was with the mate bond. He obviously didn’t want me as a mate.
He hated the fact that we had been paired by fate, yet he still wanted to claim that bond.
Seeing that I was looking straight at them with a straight face with no reaction, Mike’s face changed from disgust as he looked at me to anger.
